2023 Bike to Work Week Highlights
With 9 unique events, and hundreds of participants, Charlottesville 2023 Bike to Work Week, May 15-19th, was a huge success. Sponsors and volunteers handed out snacks and swag to bike commuters at six different appreciation stations throughout the week. We also had a great time meeting fellow cyclists at our kickoff at Three Notch’d and offering e-bike test rides at the Albemarle County office building.
We hope you’ll join us again next year!

Reward employees for biking to work: give out swag to participants, buy them breakfast for biking, etc.
Offer a discount for cyclists during bike to work week.
Install bike racks if you don’t have them. Charlottesville businesses can get free bike racks by writing to bikeped@charlottesville.gov.
Offer a commuter benefit or parking cash-out program.
